The Future of Psychodermatology

Psychodermatology is a new developing area of dermatology. It has been long recognized that dermatologic disease may affect psychological functions in dermatology patient and thus, there is a close relationship between dermatology and psychosomatic medicine. Despite this, the development of scientific methods based on the evidence-based medicine and confirmation of psychological effects via objective data along with reflections on therapy have been recently carried out. We emphasize the necessity of the presence of psychodermatology as a working discipline from different standpoints and assess its situation in the future as a subspecialty.

Psikodermatolojinin Geleceği

Psikodermatoloji dermatolojinin gelişmekte olan yeni bir çalışma alanıdır. Deri hastalıklarının psikolojik işlevlere olan etkileri ve dolayısıyla dermatoloji ile psikosomatik tıp yakın arasındaki ilişki uzun süredir bilinmesine karşın kanıta dayalı bilimsel yöntemlerin geliştirilmesi, psikolojik etkilerin somut verilerle doğrulanması ve bunların tedaviye olan yansımaları henüz gerçekleşmektedir. Bu makalede psikodermatolojinin bir çalışma disiplini olarak gerekliliği farklı noktalardan değerlendirilmekte ve bu alandaki gelişmelerin gelecekteki durumu gözden geçirilmektedir.
